Job Title: Mechanical Draftsman/CAD Technician

Location: Yamunanagar

Summary: A skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Draftsman with 3 years of experience and a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is sought for a position in Yamunanagar. This role will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings and models of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems using CAD software.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and models using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor).
• Interpret engineering sketches, specifications, and calculations to develop accurate drawings.
• Prepare bills of materials (BOMs) and other documentation related to drawings.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and company drafting practices.
• Revise and update existing drawings based on engineering changes and feedback.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure design accuracy and feasibility.
• Maintain organized drawing files and documentation.
• May perform basic calculations related to dimensions, tolerances, and materials.
• May assist in the development of design concepts and prototypes.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 3 years of proven experience as a Mechanical Draftsman/CAD Technician.
• Proficiency in using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor). Specify the software you are most proficient in on your resume and cover letter.
• Strong understanding of mechanical drafting principles, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and industry standards (e.g., ASME, ISO).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Local market knowledge of Yamunanagar.

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• Experience with specific CAD software relevant to the company’s industry.
• Knowledge of CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software.
• Experience with PDM (Product Data Management) systems.
• Familiarity with FEA (Finite Element Analysis) software.
