Job Title: Fabrication Supervisor

Summary: A skilled and experienced Fabrication Supervisor with a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and 2+ years of experience is sought for a position in Yamunanagar. This role will oversee and coordinate all fabrication activities, ensuring efficient production, quality workmanship, and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the work of fabrication personnel (e.g., welders, fitters, machinists).
• Plan and schedule fabrication projects, ensuring timely completion within budget.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine fabrication requirements.
• Assign tasks to fabrication team members and monitor their progress.
• Ensure that all fabrication work meets quality standards and specifications.
• Conduct regular quality checks and inspections.
• Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate records of fabrication activities, materials used, and production output.
• Enforce safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Manage inventory of fabrication materials and supplies.
• Train and mentor fabrication team members.
• Collaborate with other departments (e.g., engineering, production, quality control) to ensure smooth workflow.

Qualifications:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Fabrication Supervisor or in a related fabrication role.
• Strong understanding of fabrication processes (e.g., welding, cutting, forming, machining).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Local market knowledge of Yamunanagar.

Additional Skills (Advantageous):

• Welding certifications.
• Experience with specific fabrication equipment or processes relevant to the company’s industry.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
