Job Description: QA/QC Chemist

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented QA/QC Chemist to join our growing team at the Barotiwala Plant. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of our chemical products throughout the manufacturing process. This role involves a combination of laboratory work, data analysis, and quality system implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality Control:
    • Perform routine and non-routine chemical analyses on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
    • Conduct physical and chemical tests, including pH, conductivity, viscosity, and color measurements.
    • Analyze and interpret analytical data, identify trends, and generate reports.
    • Ensure compliance with established quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    • Investigate and resolve quality issues and non-conformances.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all laboratory activities.
    • Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS).
    • Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance with QMS procedures and regulations.
    • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of new quality control procedures.
    • Provide technical support to production and other departments on quality-related matters.

Qualifications:

  • Education: B.Sc. in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering (preferred)
  • Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a quality control/assurance role in a chemical manufacturing environment (preferred)
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
    • Proficiency in laboratory techniques and instrumentation
    • Knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.)
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
    • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Other:
